Okay, I want the opposite of everyone else in the fandom. I want a story, set anytime in the partnership,(but I suspect the latter half of season three and anytime in season 4 or beyond TSbyBS would work very well) in which Blair realizes he simply can't do the whole guide, sidekick, Jim's shadow bit anymore and leaves. And STICKS WITH IT. No caving in when Jim tells him how sorry he is that he didn't trust Blair Or running back the first time Blair gets a hangnail and Jim rides in to the rescue with a pair of nail clippers. Let Blair grow up, get a life of his own, (or rediscover the one he had before he met Jim) not live Jim's by proxy. And here's a nifty idea...have Jim be okay with it, and realize that perhaps his life was in a rut too.
